Yeah I have some posts planned, but I need to secure a camera to add some image content along with yon postage. So this is on hold until I get that off the ground. Tempted to make do with my Iphone for now, but the quality fetishist within won't let me!

Welcome to Shill City!
I've always wanted to write a blog, but I've always rationalized my way out of doing so by letting myself be stonewalled by the problem of sustainable content. I, if at all possible, want to avoid being "that guy" who runs out of steam after 2 posts. I have blogged before in the past and that's pretty much how it always goes.
Ah! Then I came up with a theoretical solution... writing about something that I'm passionate about! If a person's passionate about something you practically have to beat them with a stick to get them to shut up about it! A blog very well could be a convenient place for them to vent and perhaps with such venting they will chill out and become less of a pain in the ass. Win-win!
Then I hit roadblock #2. I'm passionate about nothing. In fact I think my hobby for the entirety of my life has been to find reasons to be apathetic towards stuff. But hey! I could write about that no? Meh... there are tons of emo kids and internet geeks who already do the same goddamn thing. It was funny and even cute in the 90s, but we are in a whole 'nother millenium now! I want to be cutting edge!
And with just that very thought I touched upon the solution to roadblock #2... cutting edge! One thing I AM passionate about is owning cool shit. I don't mind spending money, in fact I seem to crave doing so, as long as I get either an insanely awesome value for dollar spent or something that is not only at the pinnacle of its category but so far ahead of the competition it can justify an extra "0" before the "." in cost!
If something wants to be owned by me it has to pass an intense battery of tests where it bests all comers with ease! It must have a rich set of features! It must be reliable, last forever and built well! It must not only be cutting edge tech-wise, but it has to be built out cutting edge material as well! It must be exclusive! It must have good resale value! Looking sweet is a plus, but if it exudes an aura of the aforementioned traits then sometimes I let it slide even if it's ugly as sin.
There's always an entire litany of reasons for buying what I buy and I recite them daily in my head as I work... constant rationalization for what I spent more than I should! So here in this blog I'll share some reasons why I spend the money I spend and maybe you too will be as excited about whatever random crap I buy as I am! In fact maybe you too will buy whatever it is I bought and in doing so vaguely justify my own idiocy just a tiny, tiny bit. A drop in the ocean, mayhaps. But you know what the ocean is made of... water droplets!
Yeah... that sounded better in my head. Anyway, that's what this blog is about and I'll probably abstract this into some place that makes more sense later on.
